The Selection Process
Applications for the 2020 Graduate Development Program will open on 4 March 2019 .
The Treasury selection process consists of only a few steps:
Applications must be submitted through the Department’s online portal before the application’s closing date.
Your application must include your:
- resume and academic transcripts; and
- an online application which may consist of targeted selection criteria questions.
You will be sent an email confirmation once you have lodged your application.
Panel members assess applications during May/June each year.
Interviews are held in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide each year. Telephone or Skype interviews or other reasonable adjustments can be arranged. Interviews are conducted in June/July each year.
Selection is based on your application, qualification(s), experience and performance at interview. An order of merit will be created.
5. Referee Checks
Referee checks are undertaken for candidates in strong contention following interview.
It is anticipated that the successful candidates will be sent a letter of offer for the Treasury Graduate Development Program in July each year. Subsequent offers may be made up until November.
